[a/s] SPARE TIRE STORAGE

Here's mine:
The most PERFECT spare tire hideaway I have seen on an A/S....which I am 
having put on mine as well.....is a U-like steel-strap frame (the opening of 
the U faces the hitch/front).  It was welded with an steelstrap "X" in the 
middle of the "U"...and the whole thing  is bolted to the frame, and hangs 
down from the underbody IN THE FRONT OF THE CHASSIS..just behind the hitch 
area.  Straight straps (long enough to make room for your tire)  are welded 
from this X-inside-a-U frame up to where it's bolted to the undercarriage.  
The tire then is slid into the U-frame, and something was rigged up to secure 
it so it wouldn't slide out accidently in travel (or get stolen while 
parked).  What a perfect place to put it!  Weight right where it belongs 
(actually probably makes the distribution of most units more perfectly 
balanced)....and ease of removal too (reachable).
