Just to throw a thought in.... one of the Lincoln Navigators is rated for 
8,000 lbs.
I pull a 25 foot airstream and four kids and love it.  It is much smaller 
than the Excursion, but it is easy to drive, park, turn, etc.  Everything 
I've read about the Excursion has people complaining that it's just TOO big. 
No manueverability??
Haven't driven one.
