Re: [a/s] Questions on our "new" '91 Limited.

Our drain valve on our '93 Limited is behind the curb side center tire. I
have had it opened, shut and not sure where the open/closed position is. I
haven't been able to get a drop of water out of it. In order to drain the
tank, I ran the pump with the main water system drain open. It works just
fine.....but someday, when I have the camper up and can maneuver a
snake-type wire in the drain, I am going to find out why this doesn't work.
My literature says there is a drain valve under the small cabinet door
beneath the microwave-end of the counter---nothing there!

Also, I have a hose connection for flushing the black water tank. Is this

The flushing device has a backflow preventer on it so none of the black
water will go back into the freshwater system. It works on both the pump
and the city water side of things. It runs water through some nozzles off a
distribution pipe that is within the black water tank. Whenever I drain the
black water, I run a short hose from the backflow preventer hose bib to the
female connector of the black water wash down system. I run the water for
2-3 minutes until the black water runs clear and then I shut if off, shut
the gate-slide valve to the black water tank, and open the gray water
gate-slide.

Lastly, it has electric stabilizer jacks (which I absolutely LOVE). How do

My rear jacks are a bit noisier than yours, I crank them to the ground (with
the help of my wife), so they just touch. Then I crank them both until they
take the camper up a little. Not much-just a little. Of course these are
the last ones to adjust...the front ones are already in place prior to this.
When I bring the rear ones home, they just click a couple of times and I
know they're where they belong.

I have been using plywood under my stabilizers because the approximately
8X8" take up more area on the ground, thus giving more solid support. I
read an interesting article about lightning which suggests not to do so. I
will attach it.

Jerry, I am interested in more chat about the 34' Limited...if you want-off
list? Others might get bored?
