Hi Norma,

You can get  a magnetic base antenna for your vehicle. I have one for our
road travel. I just slap it (very gently) on the roof and run the cable down
through the door. Has always worked great. They range from around $20 to a
couple of hundred. Remember, you get what you pay for. (c:  I picked mine up
at a truckers' store that specialized in radio equipment.
