Re: [a/s] filtering water........russian roulette with water
Added notes....(sorry... on the windy side)
You don't have to be drinking out of a ditch to get some of the nasty
bugs... there is a strain of bug that lives in the beautiful sparkling
streams in the Colorado Mts. that will put you right down. A friend that
lived in Dallas was near the last rights point when one of the Dr.'s finally
asked if he had done any traveling... The light came on and a simple
antibiotic turned the situation around...
When we were younger and bullet proof.. I filled up at any gas station from
the hose that filled the radiator... Now I am thinking of filling out of the
5 gal bottled water bottles we use at the house...
Milwaukee had a session with clyptosporidium (sp?) and that was caused from
runoff ... a lot of folks got sick from the city water....I think they have
a handle on it now but how about all the other towns that have nasty stuff
dumped in "up river" ??????
Duluth MN had a period where the filter suppliers were cleaning up..(pun not
intended). An "asbestos like" fiber was discovered in the water and blamed
on the Taconite refining going on just up the coast of Lake Superior...
I can't tell you how many process managers have told me that when they get
done with the water that they use... it's as good or better than the river
that they are dumping it into.....I always wondered just how bad the river
was....
Anyone remember Love Canal or the Denver Military Depot..???
The Chicago River was so bad that a huge project was conducted to turn the
river around so that it flows from Lake Michigan back towards the
Mississippi River....anyone drinking out of that one???
A lot of towns in central Illinois are using river water as the source for
the local drinking water....
I would suggest all the processing you can get......
