Hi Randall,

I am at the same cross roads myself. I have a friend with the
Heat Pump and his complaint is that when the temperature drops
into the 30's, the Heat Pump is no longer effective. I have
decided to go with the heat strips instead. In either event,
unless you stay in a very moderate climate, neither will replace
the furnace. Others may have first hand experience.
