I suppose, because it is definitely toxic and for all I know also carcinogenic. 
It is NASTY stuff.  All I was saying is that a lot of people worked with it (and
for all I know still do) and most of us are still around.

Product safety legislation (and litigation) is not something I know a whole lot
about, but it often seems to me we are trying to make the world safe for
everyone, no matter how fragile or stupid, and that may be admirable but it is
very difficult and results in significant overkill for the average individual
...

Of course that looks different if you yourself are allergic, immunologically
challenged or a whole host of other possibilities ...
