Re: [a/s] Paying bills while on the road
Hi Dick and all:
I don't know this company at all. But I have recently been looking into
this subject some and have decided that so far the best services and rates
for my future needs are provided by American Express Centurion Bank. Check
it out at www.americanexpress.com.banking. One can bank by phone, mail,
online and at lots of ATMs across the country.
There is a way that you can have regular payments made to a payee through
the payee's paperwork. Or you can set up a payee list online and click in
the amount you want transferred electronically to each payee each month.
Over the years I've used a lot of credit cards. When there were problems
eventually they were all resolved (including a regular neighborhood gas fill
that was rung up in multiples of 10 -- drug problem -- and the gas station
made good). With Master Card and Visa (even Gold and Platinum) I was
required to write a detailed letter and photocopy statements. Eventually
things got worked out. With American Express I call up and say what's
happened and a cheerful person says something like, "We'll look into that
for you right away Mr. Daneri and take care of it for you." And they always
have. Not everyone accepts AMEX, so I carry the others too. But I have had
no unpleasant experiences with American Express. Quite the opposite.
For what it's worth.
