Like many others, I'll be replacing the floor covering in our
Excella soon. I installed Pergo in the kitchen of our home a while ago and
believe the installation in a trailer would be difficult. The glue is
messy and, as someone else pointed out, it requires a lot of pressure, either by
pounding or with special strap clamps to tightly bond the edges. All of
the irregular edges on the borders would be especially tough. I'm
considering using carpet squares. The new styles are very nice - not
cheesy like some indoor-outdoor carpets. The ones I've seen are about 18"
square and installed with a light mastic. If one gets damaged, it's easy
to lift the square and replace it. Once installed, all the seams
disappear. Has anyone had any experience with these?
