That is an interesting idea.  I have such a cut off switch but it is on the
floor behind the sofa and rather awkward to reach, especially if there is a
fire.

I just thought of something.  If you disconnect the battery from the trailer
with a cut off switch, will the battery still get charged while you are
driving?
