I have had one devil of a time getting the wooden window shade
rods down and can't see how I am going to get new rods installed... the little
plate with the keyed slot is buried behing the plastic surround... I am thinking
of cutting a hole in the side and making a slide in piece that has the keyed
slot in it and some kind of knurled end that can be rotated to adjust the
tension on the shade and then locked in place with an allen screw or some such
device... I have enough trouble with shades when the window dosen't block the
shade at all and with the plastic lip around the window, I am at a loss to
see how it went together at the factory...
All advice is appreciated....
