Cecil,
My folks did some RVing back in the 80's, & they had a Ford PU that was
outfitted with propane & gas.  They had the option to change back & forth
from gas to propane.  The propane tank that sat just behind the cab, & they
pulled a 5th wheel.  It is very clean burning & seemed to be pretty
efficient.  If you'd like more information, I can ask them & let you know.
Sounds like a great idea to me.
