Re: [a/s] Thanks from Ruth & Dan!!! for info about help near Atlanta

I am so sorry again, that this happened to you. May I suggest that it you
decide to tow again that you get a real tow vehicle.... not a sport utility
vehicle.

You need a long wheelbase vehicle...the Infinity has a short wheelbase and a
high center of gravity.... I didn't see what happened, but I have to wonder
if when the truck pulled up next to you if the trailer and truck went over
into them as they have a tendency to do when big trucks go by.

When you have a poor tow vehicle the tail wagging the dog syndrome happens.
Another list member tows a Bambi with his Infinity and he white knuckles it
all the time.

The Jeep is considered to be a better tow vehicle and this happened to a girl
on one of my other lists................

<<A word of caution on the Jeep Cherokee thing. We used a Jeep Cherokee to
pull a travel trailer. The Jeep sets up rather high, and has a short wheel
base. We were entering a highway, just got onto the highway off the entrance
ramp, going not quite 45 mph, a semi flew past us and pulled us into his
draft, the travel trailer started to fish tail and because the Jeep Cherokee
was so tall and light we ended up in a full
roll over accident. Both Jeep and trailer were tossed on their sides and
side on their passenger sides some 70 feet down the highway. Both vehicles
were totaled and all 3 of us were injured. The state policeman that took the
accident report told us all that were were very lucky to not have been
seriously injured or killed as he has seen more serious accidents involving
the Jeep Cherokees and trailers. >>

Just a suggestion...you will be safer if you fix the Infinity and get a
serious tow vehicle like a Suburban, and Excursion or a long wheelbase pickup.
