For the money, I would just get a new HWH. Who knows how much longer that one 
will last. BTW, if your is a suburban like mine, you can light the heater 
manually and leave the electronic turned off. Replacing it is not a DYI 
project. New Suburbans cost about $245.00 plus install for a non-electronic 
model. The electronic ignition is about $100.00 more.
