The "Aircraft Remover" I bought came
from WalMart.  It is good for cleaning
corrosion from an acrylic finish; but it
will take the acrylic too.  Be ready to
begin spraying the bright shiny aluminum
with clear acrylic lacquer, very lightly and
many coats, following instructions about
time between coats.  Be sure you spray
very lightly over a dry, clean surface
