[a/s] Email on the road

For those with  on-the -road email concerns take a look at the email 
devices called PocketMail.  It is a small keyboard device which can be 
purchased for around $115. into which to can type, at your leisure, the 
messages you want to send and when you get to a phone you dial up the 
service you must contract with and then;en place the device against the  
phone speaker/ear piece and send your messages.  You can also download 
message folks have sent to your Service Number.
  When you purchase the  Sharp model you get the device and a years worth 
of service for $199 for the first year ($9.95 per month after that).  You 
can find the pocketmail devices  at Office Max, Staples or other such 
outlets.  JVC also makes a model.  It is helpful if you can find a "sales 
person" in your campground who can help you get started or ask around for 
those who already have one to help you.  The device is small, maybe 8" x 
5" and about 1" thick.  Can be easily carried in pocket or purse.  Keys 
are small and closely spaced so you touch typists will have to adapt but 
I understand you can get proficient  pretty  quickly.  Writing messages 
will give your driving companion something to do as you are tooling down 
the road.
