[a/s] Crossed wires

Hi Kiki:
    We had a similar wiring problem when we first bought our 79 Sovereign.
The lights seemed to work as we drove away from the dealers lot but as we
started to turn off the highway and the left turn signal began to blink the
trailer brakes activated with every blink of the signal.  That was pretty
exciting for a few seconds.
    The mechanics at Jackson Center rewired the pigtail in just a few
minutes and solved the problem.  If your mechanic has trouble maybe he could
call them for trouble shooting help.  Also I have a wiring diagram from a
1979 factory manual that I can email you if you think that will help.
