Re: [a/s] Airstream Wax

Airstream used to recommend using a product called Walberize or
Walbernize that was recommended to be used at least annually. The
purpose of this stuff, as I understand it, was to really treat the
clearcoat on the trailer. The clear coat does dry out, then cracks and
flakes or peels off. This is the discoloration you see on most trailers.
The Walberize must have had a kind of "moisturerizer" effect as it
permitted the clearcoast to remain flexible and guess it revitalized it.
When I see all the trailers that look like they have skin cancer all I
can think is that Airstream and its dealers did a poor job of advising
their purchasers of this maintenance process. The product used to be
advailable at AS dealers. Not sure if it is still recommended for the
units constructed in the 90's. Anybody know?
