[a/s] Airstream Wax
Burt,
I can answer #3 for you.
Tailor Made Products (TMP) makes a
polish/sealant called Vitreo.
It's a polymer-based paint sealant that is extremely easy to apply.
I've been using it on my Airstream from the beginning. (1995 Excella 25')
It claims to provide 1 year of protection, but can be used more
often to enhance gloss. ( I try to use it every few months when it isn't
raining here in Seattle, it brings out a wonderful shine)
You wipe it on, and unlike most wax products, you don't have
to kill yourself getting it off your trailer. (especially important when you
have a
longer Airstream)
It comes in quart bottles, available direct from the manufacturer.
I have done my trailer 3 times and have about 1/4 of the bottle left.
I also use it on my Grumman canoe (all aluminum), so I know it works
well on bare aluminum.
