TV and customs [was: Re: [a/s] New members]

I'm a newly-wed (first anniversary 4/4/2000) and my wife and I have a
lot to talk about and do together, plus we have four dogs-- a 90lb
Catahoula, 55lb Sheltie, and two Schauzers-- five or so cats (more if
you count our outdoor-only friends) and three birds... and we spend a
lot of time on the computers and some in the garden, or on the porch
watching the deer and listening to the armadillos... One day Stef (my
wife) asked if I wanted to rent a video tape she wanted me to see,
and I was stunned. "What are we going to watch it with?" I asked.
Well, big as life, there was a TV that might barely fit through an
Airstream door!

I do like a few shows; mostly comedy or Star Trek-- or is that
redundant? :) -- but not many sitcoms are funny to me. Ally McBeal
is! Once I tried to tape the shows I wasn't home to see so I could
watch them later: The stack of unwatched tapes kept growing, so I
quit trying!

Yesterday I cranked up the antenna on my Airstream, to find that it
wasn't even connected! Well, not really, anyway: The previous owners
couldn't handle putting a terminal on the twin-lead, so they ran
PHONE WIRE to the antenna!! I'm sure they got good reception-- NOT!
:) So I'll have to fix that before I sell it.

Glad you're saved the trouble of travelling in a foreign land and
dealing with foreign customs... State officials in any state seem
rather inept at dealing with unusual cases, so I hope your Escapees
identity is a solid one. :) CIA, FBI, SKP... Do you know Fox Mulder?
