Re: [a/s] Check is in the mail!

Melbourne is known (still) as the "Port
City" (note, Alex, it is not PortsMOUTH;
that would be Crane Creek which widens
at this point on the Atlantic to form the
harbor, which in days of old was the landing point for the coastal
"steamers"
-- not "Streamers". However, while the
Tampa Bay area usually takes credit for
being the "TIN CANNERS" city of origin,
there is a marker in the old city (part) of
Melbourne -- significantly on "New England Avenue" -- which commemorates
fondly the TIN CANNERS who brought
their kids, their chickens, and apparently
some pigs and camped out here for the
winter -- water was supplied from a single
hydrant; [of no significance at all the Central Office of Alcoholics
Anonymus/AlAnon for the southerrn part of Brevard County is in the
rambling bulding behind the memorial].

TIN CANNERS: After the first of May there should be plenty of space here
at
Port O"Call for a Rally, anytime before
October. But don't call the office about
it; get in touch with me. The office and the
present administration (largely) has no
vision for anything out of the ordinary.
