Re: [a/s] Spelling, etc

Hi folks,
Just wanted to share this. I have this tube of a wonderful "polyurethane
sealant" in front of me. The product is, get this, V U L K E M. (Chris
Bryant is right, as usual...)

I was led to believe this was used by Airstream for sealing around windows,
etc. Since it is not silicone based it is said to be o.k. with the aluminum
skin. I have used V U L K E M for skylight installations on my home and it
is superior to anything else I have used. After almost ten years it is
still as supple and strong as new. (I had to remove a defective skylight and
was able to check out the state of the old V U L K E M at that time). I
know it is used by some home builders and roofers.

FWIW it is made by Tremco Incorporated, Mameco Division, Cleveland
800-321-6412. Comes in various colors.

Some info can be found at
http://www.roancorp.com/tremco/tremcovulkemsealants.html

What I don't know is which version of V U L K E M is the best for our
purposes. There are quite a few. I will try to unravel that mystery.
Anyone else familiar with this?
