Re: [a/s] door burn-through
FWIW ... on my 1978 Argosy motor home the door is hinged in front, so wind
pressure while driving will hold it closed ... and it has a deadbolt lock,
actuated from inside, with a BRIGHT flashing dash light to prevent you from
starting off without locking it. Swung open, the door partially blocks the rear
of the two dinette windows. The refrigerator is just abaft of the door, I don't
think anything dire would happen if the door were swung back that way, it would
not block the air intake vents for the burner, and the hot air exhaust is on the
roof. The furnace is on the opposite (road) side of the coach. Likewise the
water heater.
