John,
I just had both 30 lb. aluminum tanks re-certified, 2 new
valves put on, both filled with gas, (one purged of old gas also) for just a
little over $75 total. It was done by a gas distributor here locally. The
guy who did it said since the tanks were aluminum it was the best route to
go. If they were steel he said it would have been better to buy new steel
tanks.
