[a/s] ZipDee Wind-up
The factory is absolutely superb about
sending replacement parts; just be sure
you know as near as you can when your
awning was made and the exact length of
it.
Their formula for winding a new spring:
length of the awning plus 1. My own for
rewinding a used spring which has lost some of its spring is more like
plus l0 --
maybe less, probably! If you get it too
tight, it will jerk the thing away from you,
so it is better to wind too little, try it a
couple of times and then adjust + or - .
Use extreme caution. One fellow down
here, recently lost a finger. So dangerous
that he did not know it was missing until he saw all of the blood!
