Dont use the overdrive, at least with a G M vehicle, when pulling  a load, I am a
mechanic and have seen many transmissions  trashed this way. Always use an extra
cooler as large as possible, keep that tranny cool, an axuillery external filter
doesnt hurt either, and faithfully change the filter and fluid. a little extra
care can save a lot of  problems and cash down the road
