[a/s] Brought it home....

Well, we braved the snow storm and went and looked at the what we thought to
be a 27' 1971, it turned out to be a 1971 25' Trade Wind.  It is solid, but
needs some TLC. There are receipts for almost $2000 worth of work done at
the A/S factory on it less than 18 months ago, things like new brakes, new
50 amp converter, clean and repair the furnace, new tinted rock guard for
the front window, repack wheel bearings, 4 new tires, and some smaller
stuff. It also has a new hot water heater.  we plugged it into the trailer
plug an the 1/2 GMC pickup and all the lights worked.... By this time about
2 inches of snow had fallen.  we quickly made a deal, went into town and got
the title notarized, went back hooked it up (it was in the side yard with
about 8 inches of snow on the ground, good thing my truck is 4 wheel drive!)
We pulled it out and home we came.... it is about a 60 mile trip. We made it
ok, and by this time is was snowing pretty hard and the roads were getting
slick, probably 3 inches or more of snow.

Now it's time top go over all the receipts and manuals. It has the original
owners manual, also a Reese hitch, and even a neat little A/S stand to set
the jack on.  We are happy at this point, but will for sure be asking lots
of questions as we try to put it as original as possible.  We like the
hardwood floors, but it sure is slippery with the snow on it!!  :)

Anyhow, thanks for the information I have received from this list over the
past few days..
