[a/s] Argosy?

Hi,
I am going to look at a 1979 26' Argosy trailer and would like to know a
little more about it.  I haven't been able to go see it up close yet ( The
place selling it has been closed).  I have been told it has plumbing
problems. (freeze up) and some of the plumbing has been taken out.  I am not
adverse to some "restoration", as that is what I was looking for, an older
trailer that needed some fixing-up.  what I don't know are the things to
look for in this particular trailer.  I am new to Airstream and Argosy in
particular.  Are there any areas to look for problems, frame rust?,  areas
of floor to check?, etc....   I noticed one spot where it looked like there
was about a 6 inch gash in the side to the bottom right of the door.  Also
the right front has a couple of dents.  Are these things hard and or
expensive to fix?  I am not 100 percent certain of the year and dimensions,
the guy I talked to knew very little about it.  I am going to look at it
Monday and would like to be prepared to give it a good look over.  The price
is probably going to be less than $1500.  I know it's hard to determine the
value without seeing it, but if the frame and shell are fairly good, would
this be a fair price?

Is the Argosy an aluminum shell painted?  I have been looking for
information on Argosy's on the internet and have been unable to find
anything specific about the  weight and tongue weight of that model.  Any
idea of the approximate weight and tongue weight?

I know I have asked many questions and I hope I haven't violated the
maillist in any way, this is my first posting here.
