Re: [a/s] insurance coverage

Just remember, you get what you pay for! After our fire last year, we
learned the hard way. SC does not cover contents of a travel trailer, in
fact, according to Insurance Commision, does not have to offer any coverage
for TT's. We ordered "full coverage", and only because we have a
homeowner's policy did we receive any money for the contents. The company
tried to only pay us what we had paid for our vintage Holiday Rambler. Over
the course of a year's quibbling we finally did receive our purchase price
plus the improvements we made, furnace, tires, new toilet which we could
prove with the charred receipts. But the HR itself was worth at least 2
times what we settled for. Its very good condition made no difference, only
its age and purchase price. We're still with Farm Bureau and only pay $34 a
year, but we understand now that we really don't have much coverage.
