Rudy,
I'm no insurance expert but, as an architect, was involved in rebuilding
a 'totaled' building. I spent 2 years helping a condo board in their
negotiations for a replacement building. While I thought they should
hire a lawyer or other expert experienced in such matters, one of the
board members who had a previous experience said to keep negotiating
directly. Every time the insurance company produced documentation of
their 'estimate' of the value, my client came back with a countering
estimate, more documentation and poked holes in their assumptions. The
insurance company would play good cop (adjuster) bad cop (company
management) and change the deal terms. It looked to me that at the
beginning the insurance company wanted a quick low-ball settlement and
at the end they just wanted the case closed and off their books. Low and
behold, after going back and forth without backing down for a LONG time,
my client received a settlement for more than I ever anticipated.
Some possibilities:
Have you won a concourse award at international?
Affidavits from fellow airstreamers as to the observed condition as they
knew it.
Photos (preferably published) showing the trailer in top condition.
Receipts from upgrades, maintenance & improvements.
Copies airstream sales on eBay with high closing amounts.
Just some thoughts, YMMV...
