[VAL] Year the bad torsion bar rubber ended?

Hi,

My memory is shot, to say the least, but does anyone remember the year that 
the Henchen torsion bar rubber was changed to the new formulation that lasts 
forever?  I have thoughts of looking at a '72 27', but I think this year 
still has the questionable rubber.
