Thanks Kevin, Scott and Gerald,

Thing is, I had the system put on at Alpin Haus RV/Camping World! They
must have thought it was the right weight bars. Now what do I do if A/S
tells me they're too heavy? Think CW will exchange them for the correct
size? What a pain, I depend on places like that to know what is
correct!

Pat,

You might want to go to the Reese web site and print out the page which
shows the various weight spring bars and the selection of same. Then go to
the manager of the CW store and ask him to exchange the spring bars for the
proper rated ones.

Take the position that it was an honest mistake on the part of the sales
person, and that the incorrect one could be a safety issue. [Could cause
instability on a rough road or at the crest of a hill or dip in the road.]

Since the various spring bars are interchangeable, I don't think you will
have a problem.

Good luck, and let us know how you make out.

Oliver Filippi

P.S. If the store gets nasty, you could always threaten to post your story
on the Airstream and vintage Airstream lists. You could even take a copy of
this e-mail with you.

I agree. You can adjust the stiff bars to equalize correctly for a
perfectly flat surface, but they will be very touchy about position and
any change in surface curvature (most prominent in camp grounds and
driveways) will either eliminate the equalization or add too much.

Hi Stephanie,

Did you ever find those curtain gliders? I'm in need of those also. If so
would you please share the source?

thanks,
GAS
