Jason,
I'll be there by the 20th waiting for the VAC to arrive in force! I have
early obligations that will require my early arrival so swing by (I
don't know where I'll be parked yet) and talk Airstream!

I'm curious where the Vintage Club will be parked too. We are going to
try and drive out for the day on the weekend just to meet people (not
enough vacation time to stay). Is anybody planning on getting there
early?

Why would people who just pulled into town with a trailer need a new tow
vehicle, or any at all besides the one they drove in?

rated" vehicles that didn't sell. Probably most weren't rated right for
serious towing anyway. Anyway the forecast Airstream inspired business
didn't rise to the expectations.

"The spaces between the slats allow someone on the outside a pretty
good view of the inside when the lights are on. "

They also admit light from the giant street lights, so if you like to
sleep in a dark trailer, you need to close the pleated blinds and clip
them with a clothespin, to keep out the garish lights.

The blinds in the bedroom are metal and make tinny noise as I bump them
with my elbow while crawling out of bed during the night.

Needless to say, we do not like our mini blinds at all.

Tom, while I am not "in the know" I have been to the last 5 Internationals
and I have to believe that no one knows at this date where Vintage will be
parked. Often it seems that this decision is determined by how many vintage
rigs parade in with us, so they may have a couple of different places picked
out, but which one we get depends on the number who show up, and that we
don't know until we actually start parading in.

There will be a map showing the parking areas with lists showing where
people are parked so once there all you have to do is find the map to figure
out where people are parked.

Anyone ever heard of or tried this type of engine driven generator? Puts out
from 5kw to 8.5kw from the fuel tank on your tow vehicle.

The same type of question could be asked here:
Why would anyone trade in their trailer for a new one at the
International Rally?

I think the answers are varied, just as varied as the people in the WBCCI.
And sometimes it's "just because, that's why." ;)
