Fred, I've seen them mounted at the end of the overhead cabinet near the
entry door. I don't know if they blow out there or not.

My 64 GT has the propane lamp on the street side, end of the cabinets and
over where the dining table sets up. This seems a good spot to me and has
caused no problems. BTW, I just came back from a ski hut trip to a cabin
(near Eagle, CO) and all the lighting was propane lamps - it is adequate
but not great for reading - we used our headlamps for reading and game
playing.

There is a commercial tile available that I used but it comes in 12" tiles
so needs to be cut down if you want the same size as the original. The
color is close though.

I have never known a propane lamp with a mantle to blow out. They may sputter a
bit, but I think the mantle would fall apart before it went out. As with all lighting
remember to consider where the shadows fall, and where you get the most coverage, in
those spots where the heat is dispersed safely.

I use mine in the fall a lot and enjoy it.

Glyn,
This might be what you're looking for. It's like classic linoleum and is
available in sheet or tiles. I think I've seen it at Lowe's and/or Home
Depot also.

>>snip There is a commercial tile available that I used

Can you tell me the brand name or where you bought it?

Well, now I'm really confused. My tiles are 12" square and appear to be
the original installation. They're under interior pieces which suggests to
me that they were installed at the factory. Are there any other 1969 owners
out there that can confirm that or correct me?

    Thanks,

    Glyn

Well, some of you may have visted the new Denver Unit website last week
during its' "test drive phase" when there were still some broken links.
Thanks to all the test pilots, I've worked out the kinks & bugs and
everything should be working properly now.

You'll also find an added Region 11 "Vintage" page under the Photo
Gallery section. In this area, info on the 4th Annual Rocky Mountain
VAC Rally and 2001-2003 Rally reports can be found.

Enjoy!

Hi folks:

FWIW, I gave thought to putting in a Humphrey light but instead got a couple
of these:

http://www.domsoutdoor.com/cgi-bin/cgiitmls?l=1&p=1.002385

The beauty of these little guys is that they can be used wherever they're
needed. At the sink for dishes, on the back bumper for socializing outside,
right smack in the middle of the table so you can see what you are eating,
whatever. And stowed in a 3x3x7 inch box.

The original Atwood water heater in my '76 Tradewind 25' appears to be
leaking. For the past year, I have been seeing a small drip from the
belly pan below the heater, which has now gotten larger, but I can't
pinpoint the source. Should I just go ahead and replace the heater
(Camping World sells a replacement for approx. $250 + $100 install)? Is
there anything else I should do first?
Any advice would be appreciated.

In a word, yes. Replace it. It wasn't all that difficult to do but sometimes
hard to get to depending on model.

Likely the original tile was 9" on a side and reinforced with asbestos.
The trade went to 12" tile to be sure make it easy to tell the
difference between asbestos reinforced tile and tile without asbestos.

and a newer rig that our family uses frequently. The newer one is an 87

older rigs are a 61 Airstream Flyiing Cloud and a 54 Silver Streak Clipper.
The older trailers are not titled. I only have bills of sale. I am seeking
advice on the
best approach to title these trailers in Calif.
