Harry
A vented cat heater would be real nice. Mine is not but we only use it for
short periods, 5-10 minutes.
Good luck on getting it and let me know how the install went once your done.
May want to replace mine.

Take care
Bobby

i have been patient and will continue to be so for a
while because this cat heater is the only one that i have found to be
vented. that is to say that all co2 and water vapors are expelled out of
the
trailer by a fan driven vent. this makes for a wonderful heater, the
advantages of catalytic without the fumes or condensation.

RJ - In checking out the Bubble site you sent me, I see shocks - I
don't have shocks. Also what are the two round looking things above the
axle inboard from the shocks and wheels?

Thanks for the Info Colin. Before you part it out, could you measure
the distance inboard from the wheel rim to the U bolt. Or post a
picture of the installation?
Jo Ann
p.s. Did you say, "Roll Over"? Care to elaborate?

Gary:
More good info - I like the "Shock & Awe". If I had to chose between
dropping the trailer onto the skid it would be hard to decide between
the axle or the frame, but a new axle is about $700 versus dragging the
belly and tanks over the road if the frame gave way. What do you think?
Jo Ann
p.s. if the rest of the board is tired of reading about the skid thing,
I would be happy to take it outside. jw

Joy - I had a Dexter straight axle with electric brakes put on my '56
Bubble. This raised the trailer 3 additional inches but I can't tell
you much more since it's been up on jacks getting rebuilt ever since. I
think the total bill, including new break-away mechanism and 7-prong
wiring and Prodigy hookup was under $1K. Some stock trailer shop guys
did it.

You know, 1956 was a long time ago. It don't look like
anyone needed them before so why do you think you
need them now?
Keep good tires with the correct air in them and go
on the road and have fun..

Hi Earl ~

The prices on the registration form are per trailer except for the
t-shirt which is per shirt. Some folks want only one shirt while others
want 2 or 3 so we have pulled that out separately this year. Also the
"Night out on the Town" Monday will be an optional activity and be
priced per person and is not included. Otherwise the rally fee covers
the "included" activities on the "activities" link and your campsite
fees. Feel free to contact me off line if you have any additional
questions or want to discuss any other details...I look forward to
meeting you, Marlene and your trailer this summer ~ at least now you
have something to look forward to in order to get you through your long
winter!

Cheers!

I guess its learn with age,and possibly by dumb luck.
By the grace of God I didnt hurt myself or anybody near me,with a trailer that I had
towed from Pa to TN and all over for Three years and was maintained pretty well inluding
bearings and brakes YEARLY.
I hadnt read RJ Dial,s accident report (tnx RJ) So I knew nothing about possible metal
fatigue at the time mine failed Had my skid plates or tire skids held, damage would have
been minimal and more importantly I would not have endangered my fellow travelers .
I SIMPLY CANNOT UNDERSTAND WHY ANYONE WOULD BALK AT SOME MINOR PROPERLY INSTALLED
ITEM THAT COULD SAVE EQUIPMENT AND POSSIBLY LIFE OR LIMB.
We cannot expect the factory think of everything for us nor can we allow safety to
be secondary we are part of a great hobby or way of life but its up to us to keep it as
safe as possible. We use these trailers every day and that by the way is what makes this
list so great The shareing of our happenings and upgrades and "near misses".
No Im not a preacher!!!! No offense
I was towing a 65 Caravel through Mass. when the right axle failed when i
caught it it came down hard on left and broke it. oivay.
Whats chances of the officer who comes to help you having a best friend whos into
antique trailers, whos best friend is the owner mgr of the nearest camper sales near you,
Who knows all about duratorques and dexters.
And you wonder why I say Im blessed!!!
Happy New Years to you all,
