You're right - commercial propane is a mixture of hydrocarbons
and, maybe, other impurities. That's why, regardless of the ideal
emissions, you must be careful. Always have adequate ventilation. Some
people are super-sensitive; a fully-vented catalytic would be the best
choice, if you can afford it.
