No disrespect, but did you check the fuse in the tow vehicle?  My F250 2002
has a separate fuses for the trailer.  I found out the hard way.  The truck
lights worked just fine, but the trailer light wouldn't.  Finally looked at
the fuse panel and the owner's manual and resolved the problem.

Hope your resolution is as simple!
