From the picture, it doesn't look that much better (or that much different)
than what I did. You should easily be able to copy that. If it wasn't for
the fact that I have so many people to sit at our table, I probably would
have made it to look more like Gerald's.  As it is, I have seating against
the front wall also. Mine is certainly NOT an Airstream design! It works for
me but it's not going to work for somebody looking to restore an Airstream
to "original" condition.  I really prefer having the facing seats to the
straight sofa bed ...it's so much easier to play a game of cards (Go fish!)
