OK, Paul & Polly vote charging circuit for their '64 & '65 
Globetrotters.  We know our '65 Caravel didn't. I also know the '61 
Tradewind I've been helping on doesn't.  The 1965 owners manual we have, 
in the generic section (not model specific) of the trailers electrical 
system description, doesn't mention it - the schematic doesn't show it 
either. 
So, what does this all mean?  I bet we'll have no idea which model/year 
first came with a charging circuit. It may have been an option or 
popular aftermarket mod.  Best idea is to study and understand the 
electrical towing/Battery/AC wiring of your trailer, and let that be 
your guide.
