Jim,
 GelCel batteries are quite good in an RV application, requiring no
venting. However, as a general rule, they do NOT like to be overcharged,
and really should be charged at a slightly lower voltage than a wet cell
battery. My StatPower charger even had a setting for "gelcel" or "wet
cell".

I'm personally not in love with the UniVolt as a battery charger.....
