Another option in some cases  is to leave the bolts in place (assuming 
they are in good shape) and cut out the  new floor replacement pieces to 
slip around the bolts.  Be alert that the thickness of the original  
floor plywood  may not match the present lumber diminsion standards.  
Some of the '50's ply was thicker then present day 1/2" stuff.
