Hello Everyone,
I just acquired a 1958 Streamline Trailer and don't know what model it is (Dutchess, Duke, etc.) or where to locate the VIN. Is it the number on the emblem by the door? Mine says 2060 MDL 23. Seems wrong for a VIN but that's what's been transferred around on the title. I want to make sure it's correct. Any assistance would be grealy appreciated.
Many Thanks.

I think that the 2060 is probably the correct VIN, as this is the type of number that Streamline used. I don't know what models Streamline had back in 1958, if any. A 23 foot trailer would between the Dutchess and Duke in size.

this is danisha again.I talked with someone who had a 57 streamline.I need to touch base with him again.Mainly do you have a picture of your 57 esp.of the tailights ,mine were taken off before I bought it and all that's left is a size stain on the aluminum of what they were shaped like.I was hoping the man with the 57 could post a picture, all salvage yards need a pic to help see if they could locate similar lights.any help would be much appreciated.thanks

What were they shaped like and what is the size?

They were 28 1/2 inches long, tapering from the front at 3 1/2 in. to 7 inches in the rear, wrapping around the back edge of the trailer. I imagine they were chrome, bullet shaped maybe?

hi everyone, I have a 1957 27' streamline. picked it up at a yard sale and am restoring it. It says it was manufactured in el monte, Ca.
Is Streamline a part of Airstream or a separate company. Im trying to get a little history.
Thanks, pat

It was a separate company. One of the founders was originally one of the Silver Streak owners.

Hi folks- I found a nice 1971 Streamline 27ft trailer in very good condition. Don't know the exact model, it has the middle bedroom with single bed, rear bath, etc. Very nice skin, but needs polishing, the lower "rocker panel" areas have typical dents and scrapes, the interior is very clean, original and unmolested. I have had quite a few Airstreams, several Boles Aeros, a couple of Barths, an ElRey, and a Silver Streak, but never a Streamline. The owner won't take less then $3,500. So... I am trying to figure out if this is a good deal?? I like to get advice from other folks more experienced then I am on something new that I know very little about. I do know about the history of Streamline, Silver Streak, etc. But, I do not know much about values of Streamline trailers. Does anyone want to offer thier opinion? Thanks, Dennis Burt theburts_97846@yahoo.com

About the polishing. Likely the skin is anodized aluminum and will not polish. I'll let someone else advise on value.

Hi, I've just bought a 24ft Streamline. The numbers on it are as follows : doh-57246, ser-2145,mod-24. Is this a 1957 model? I live in England and I am going to get it shipped over here in a month or two. The interior appears to be pretty much original and unmolested except for the main seating area, would this have had a "divan" or two bench seats and a table that conver t to a double bed?
Thanks,
Phil Whyte
