When I replaced the mismatched wheels on the motorhome I decided it was time for a dress up. I looked at various wheel covers but none seemed appropriate. Then I experimented with different wheel colors. I finally landed on Rust Olium shiny gold available at Home Depot. I sanded the wheels (with the help of an eager pit crew photos enclosed) primed and undercoated with shiny silver. Then painted the outer wheels with gold. The inners are black. On completion I coated all of them with clear acrylic in an attempt to make the finish last. The result seems to fit right in with the overall design of the rig and I no longer feel the need for hub caps.

PS. Yes she is a little young to be doing this kind of work but she really wanted to help.

Looks great Mike. I have tried this before too.
Sure is an inexpensive way to make those wheels look great.
