How do i find out the weight of this model. Found one for sale and wondering if i can pull it with my 1993 gmc 3/4 ton 4x4 with a 350 cubic inch motor...

Have a look at the brochures in the Streamline section of this website. They will give the weight for each model. If a 1968 is not listed, another year near 1968 should be very similar in weight. Be aware that the weights are "dry weights" and do not include anything other than the trailer itself. Anything you add in the way of personal items, or water, or propane etc. will increase the trailer weight.
Also, the Princess is a 19' trailer, not a 22 footer. The 22' model is the Duchess.

Thanx Tom. I am picking this trailer up in a few days. I thing 2500.00 was a fair price considering it was in fairly good cond.

ok...I have the trailer now. It's a 21 footer. Looks like they were introduced in 1968.

What kind of polish should I use on my 60's streamline duke

By Tom Patterson on Saturday, September 23, 2006 - 03:23 am:

An aluminum polish. One with a jewellers rouge base. I use a brand called Prestige Pro, or something like that which is available at the local Peterbilt dealer.

More expensive is a brand called Nuvite, available over the internet.

I have removed part of the plywood subfloor on my 1965 Silver Streak Sabre (?17-18 ft. trailer). Now I'd like to patch some holes in the aluminum skin on the belly of the trailer. I thought it would be easier to fix from the inside. Are there any instructions posted on how to patch the aluminum?

RE: patching holes in the aluminum belly skin with aluminum tape. After talking with someone at the local airport, I'm planning to use aluminum tape with adhesive to patch some small holes in the aluminum skin on the belly of my 1965 Silver Streak Sabre. Does anyone have any experience doing this or want to suggest a better way? I thought if they use it for repairing planes it should work for me. Comments welcome.
