I have just gotten hold of a 1965 Streamline Countess, 27 foot long. The body has no dings or dents and it does not leak. It should polish up really well. The original refridgerator is gone, having been replaced by a standard 110volt model for trailer park living. The only thing I see wrong with it is one small pane of glass needs replacing in the front window. I have always wanted to own an Airstream or Streamline trailer but never before had the opportunity. However due to many circumstances this might not be the right time in my life to do anything with this beautiful Streamline. So, maybe I will put it in storage, or maybe I will sell it. If I keep it I will put it in storage nearby and try to sand and polish the aluminum myself, and do any other repairs. But selling it might be best. That way it won't gather dust and someone who appreciates it will get to have it. What I really need to know is what a fair price would be to ask for this trailer? I have been scouring the internet and have found many instances (including several on this forum) of people asking the same question. It appears that the only place to get a fair answer would be here. I say this because I went over to a local used RV dealer, an acquainance of mine, and attempted to ask him this question, and discovered that regardless of the thousand or so RVs he has sold over the years he knows nothing about Streamline aluminum motorhomes or their current value, or the fact that there are clubs devoted to them, and that people go to great lengths and expense to completely restore them. He just said: "A forty year old trailer? I can't see it being worth very much." I found one single solitary instance on the internet of a Streamline trailer similar to mine for sale, with a price tag of $7000. But I have nothing to compare this price to. I don't know if it is too high, or too low. Such information on the pricing of Airstreams is easy to find. But not so about Streamlines. If I could get a few replies from you folks I would have a better idea of how to proceed.

Sure glad this forum exists. I have spent an enjoyable two days perusing it.

All the best,

Thomas Holme

I have been in contact with some other Streamline owners since writing the initial post here and the consensus seems to be that its value may be between $5800 and $6800, depending. I have decided to sell this beauty, though I do wish I could keep it. It is missing the awning. I am fairly sure one could be found somewhere. I am asking $5000.
