Hi,

My name is Tom Patterson, and I have encountered your web page About Newell http://www.newellcoach.com/AboutNewell/About.N.html . I have quite a bit of content on my web site dealing with Streamline trailers, and would like your permission to feature the information on the Streamline origins for the Newell coach on my site. I will, of course, attribute the information to Newell, and provide a link back to your site.

Tom,

Thanks for the information! We have and love our 65' Streamline Duke, and appreciate all the good info that gets passed our way via your Mail List. As always, it's good to hear about Streamlines and things that grew from them. Just a note to say thanks and keep up the good work.

Tom, thanks, how interesting. I always wondered what happened to the
Streamline production

Thanks Tom, Of course I printed it for my archives. I never knew that Newell started as Streamline. That explains why Newell is such a quality unit. I sure wish that group would have been successful years ago in obtaining the rights to build Streamline. As our trailers get older, there is not much out there anymore that meets the same standard. I hope to keep mine in good order.
Take care!

Tom:
Thanks for your inquiry. I went to your site--pretty interesting for a Newell person to see more info on our origins. Go ahead and use whatever you're like and a link if you so choose.

Best regards,

I obtained a copy of a picture from Forrest Bone with the Tin Can Tourists of a 1968 Newell. Notice the similarities between it and the Streamline Travel Home. Streamline manufactured their Travel Home between 1964 and 1967 at which time the Travel Home division was sold to Newell. I was told that only about 20 of the Travel Homes were ever made.
I am not sure if the 1968 Newell was the first, or second year of manufacture by Newell.
