Many of you have seen pictures of my silver streak motorhome. I am in need of a complete awning replacement. Any ideas would be welcomed...thanks....

Hi Bob,

I purchased a complete new awning for my SS trailer from Carefree Awnings. They have arms specifically designed for the SS Trailers. However in reviewing the pictures of your motorhome you will probably want to check and make sure that you can't just use a standard awning arm since (from viewing the pictures) your motorhome doesn't seem to have as much of a curvature on the top as does the trailer.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the info Perry, I bought a carefree and they custom designed the arms to fit. I'll take digital pictures of the awning out and you can see them late this summer. In addition I replaced the captain's chairs with new flexsteel chairs, rechromed the back bumper and go a local decal firm to redo the orginial decal for the silver strek on the back. Now if i can only decide weather to use wd-40 or shiela shine to brighten up the body on this Class c motorhome. BTW I recently took it in for an emissions test ( heck it's only 24 years old....) and it passed easily. Said goodbye to the folks since after 25 years you don't need to test it...Guess i can now enter into the classic car contests here in the northwest....hehe....

Hey Bob, I am interested in getting a pair of decals for my 66 Sabre. What did you use for a pattern and what was the charge at the decal shop? I wonder if I could order a couple of knock offs from the shop you went to? Thanks, Don.

Does anyone know where to get a carter shade roller tube #S-49 for a 33ft. supreme saturn SS trailer. Mine snapped in the center in a storm out here in LA. Company is out of business. Thanks
