I only recently figured out what those 8 hooks on the inside of the front rock guard on my 77 Silver Streak are for. Does anyone else know?

Thanks for the info you sent to me Carl. Great site! I thought everyone knew those hooks were for your curved window covers while not traveling.

I have a 1947 Curtis Wright, but it looks like a early Silver Streak. It has a pointed front and back and split windows with fender skirts. If anybody would like to exchange information on their early Silver Streaks or Curtis Wrights, please contact me. I'm interested in the years 47 to 54. I'm interested in any literature or manuals or pictures related to these years.

I am the proud owner of a 1969 Silver Streak I purchased last week. It is all original except for the fridge, A/C, hot water heater & pump. Does everyone's have the built-in pictures on the walls? I would appreciate any pics or info. on them! Thanx! Liz eford@mmcable.com

Nothing like that on our 72 Liz. Pic's of what?

To the person that has the built in pictures in their 1969 Silver Streak....I have a brochure from 1969 showing interior shots of the Streamline trailer and it has mounted photos on the walls. I thought it was strange but it seems to have been the trend back then.

There is a Silverstreak for sale at the campground that I used to live at and I was about to purchase it but could not find the VIN# (usually on the tongue). And not being able to get any info on the unit put me off. Finding this site has changed my thinking and I just might go back and snag that beauty (a mid 70's 31+/- ft Continental). Its been sitting for several years and has some floor damage in the kirchen area do to a leaking vent cover. My main concern is the fame. Any info on this topic will be appreciated. Also where are the #'s hiding (thought the trailer might be stolen and # ground off)?

Thank you Tom and thank you all.

If they are on the back of the water heater, they are for bypassing the WH tank when you winterise. If the are on the floor, they are drain valves for the water system; one for the hot and one for the cold.

The serial number on my 1979 is not stamped very deeply and could be ground off without showing if done carefully, so take care! There were originally stickers on the skin that showed the VIN.

The SS frame has 3 box beams from the axles area forward to the hitch so is very strong. Most trailers have only 2 boxes or just 2 channels and are adequate. It would have to be severely rusted to be significantly weakened.
