I wanted to know if those of you who have repainted the gold trim used a primer under the gold paint and what kind of metal preparation for the painting did you do? Thanks for any all suggestions! Thanks for this discussion board, Tom.

I am a new owner of a 1970 SS. I tryed to join the "Ringsurf.com" but was unable to log on, even after completing the registering process. I am not real competent or computor savy. Need I say more. That is a good question about the gold paint.
