Fill it with water using measured container - 5 gallon buckets, 1 gallon buckets.

Ours in the '79 Supreme 31' is 14 gallons - hope yours is larger than that!

ABS is always repairable with ABS solvent and patch pieces.

I have a 1978 SS and the previous owner used the toilet until the black tank was full, then duct taped the lid to the toilet for two years. I thought it was going to be a real challenge to get it flushed out. Since my 19' Aljo has a 30 gal black tank, I was surprised at how small the SS's tank was. I was guessing 16 gallons, maybe 20. The owners manual doesn't say anything about capacities.

Al G., do you find the size of your tank a problem when you don't have access to full hook up. How do you handle it, any tips for a newbe?

Howard

I have the 77 33.5 foot Lusury Liner and the black water tank is 22 gallons. This is for the rear bath model. My friends have a center bath 33.5 footer and it has a 14 gallon capacity since it is located over the axles. The gray water tank is 30 gallons. You can purchase an epoxy solution at Ace hardware to repair black plastic and abs. I did this on my tank 4 years ago and it has not leaked since. Also, there is a connection sleve with two wire clamps that connect the drain line to the tank. Mine were very loose and tigtening them will make a difference. The challenge is getting into that space under the floor pan.
